Scott Carrelli (Satellite, Looq Records)
Just who is Scott Carrelli? Genre-defying DJ? Brilliant promoter? Admirable chef? Club visionary, perhaps? When the man takes a break from his tireless work, what does he write for his job description? Perhaps he simply puts "Master of any trade." In truth, Scott Carrelli is all of the above. Scott Carrelli's presence behind the decks and unique track selection makes him one of the best DJ's in his hometown of San Francisco. Combining deep, funky, minimal tech, and tech house, the essence of a Scott Carrelli DJ set is being in the moment and having a connection to the dancefloor which few performers can say they have more of. During the course of his exciting career, Scott Carrelli has traveled the world over, headlining in Romania, Asia, Australia, Hawaii, at Miami WMC, and for Spundae both in Los Angeles and San Francisco. He has performed alongside several luminaries including Sasha, Lee Burridge, Danny Howells, James Holden, DJ Dan, Felix da Housecat, Nick Warren, Derrick Carter, and DJ Three, just to name a few. |

Alixr (Friends & Family, Pulse)
After 10 years in the Bay Area underground rave scene, at first just helping out and eventually graduating to full-blown organizing and promoting, Alixr finally decided to pursue his deep love of music and take up DJing in early 2005. Armed with a background in music theory, he was a quick study, and by 2006 he was already getting booked to play such high-profile events as San Francisco's How Weird Street Faire and Southern California's infamous Moontribe full moon gatherings. Drawing on the myriad of genres that have moved him over the years, such as house, techno, psychedelic trance and downtempo, his eclectic nature makes him one of the most versatile DJs in the scene today. You can catch him working his magic every Thursday night at Pulse, his brand new weekly at The Shattuck DownLow in Berkeley.

Dhamma (Goodbeats, Pulse)
DJ Dhamma has been in love with electronic music since the late 1980's. She moved to San Francisco in 1994 where she was introduced to the local rave culture. This forever changed her life. After years of just going to parties, she could no longer just stand in front of the turntables. She began to DJ in 1998 and enjoys spinning a variety of genres. While she is better known for playing driving house music, her favorite genre will always be techno. DJ Dhamma's style is one of smooth transitions and flowing song progressions. You can hear her every Thursday at Pulse @ Shattuck DownLow in downtown Berkeley, or mixing it up on the goodbeats.com podcast and upcoming events. |
